The biggest and boldest of the Viandante del Cielo lineup, is the wine that shares the property's namesake. Modeled after the respected wines of Bordeaux, the 2018 Viandante del Cielo leads with structure and poise. Rich aromatics of pipe tobacco, dried plum, espresso and dark cocoa powder, this wine wields power immediately out of the bottle. Savory notes of beef jerky, warm cedar, and cigar further propel the ripe fruit on the nose. On the palate black cherry, prunes, and redwood bark captivate the senses. Structurally, this wine is a piece of art in how the rich tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot compliment the French oak aging with such grace. The 2018 Pristinvm is a showstopper! The wine's unique name comes directly from the Roman-influence to the region. This wine will see a variation on its blend with each vintage. This allows the wine to be reimagined in accordance to the regional landscape and lesser known grape varieties which shape the land's identity. The 2018 Pristinvm is a crafted blend of Ciliegiolo, Sanforte, Pugnitello, and Foglia Tonda. Ciliegiolo is often found in the blends of Chianti and takes its name from the Italian word for "cherry". When reimagined on the slopes of Umbria, this variety is quickly being championed as a serious contender, and a new favorite to our palates. High-toned red raspberry, hibiscus, and hints of sundried tomato leap from the glass. Lively, yet rich this blend shows refreshing finesse with its spritely acidity lending way to concentration as a result of old world soils. Violets, dill, Vietnamese cinnamon, red licorice, and potpourri abound on the palate. Quickly watch how this blend of lesser known grape varieties becomes a forever favorite.
The 2020 Skywalker Vineyards Sommità Chardonnay is an unoaked wine that captures the bright, fresh fruit flavors of Marin County Chardonnay.
