I started DanceBody in 2013 because I was searching for a workout that combined challenging cardio with functional strength exercises to enhance the female form. As a professional dancer, my body was lean, but dancing alone wasn't enough to keep my muscles strong. I found that dance, paired with high intensity, functional strength training, is the secret to creating the lean lines of a dancer, athletic strength, improved mental health, & increased vitality. Dance is the fountain of youth, I feel stronger now than when I was dancing professionally! Aside from the physical benefits, dance is a joyful form of movement that unites us all. I'm passionate about sharing that energy with everyone.

Barre Above is a totally unique approach to barre workouts as you've seen them. Fusing the best of Pilates, yoga, aerobics, and elements of the strengthening exercises dancers do, Barre Above delivers a results-driven workout that is not only fun and dynamic, but it will sculpt your body and get you into absolutely amazing shape. When taking a Barre Above workout you'll see improvements in your posture, flexibility, overall body strength, and balance; obtain a body awareness that you may not have had before; transform your body and feel more confident in your fitness; and establish friendships and new connections among your fellow participants. You don't need to worry about having any dance experience in order to take a Barre Above class, because Barre Above instructors teach you with the intent of progression with a safer approach. When you take a Barre Above class, you'll always feel challenged, yet consciously aware of what is right for your body. Barre Above classes teach you to find the strength of a dancer within you and to transform your body. Cardio Kickboxing is a great workout for anyone interested in improving their fitness & stamina. This class is flexible and adaptive so that it serves the needs of all participants - it will get beginners into shape, it will challenge advanced athletes, & all genders are welcome! The class format integrates combinations of punches, kicks, body-weight strength work & heavy-bag work (when bags available). No equipment is necessary. You will have fun, reduce stress, & get an awesome workout.

FitStrong is a class that will challenge your body with a combination of cardio and strength movement patterns, high-intensity intervals, and Tabata training. This class is perfect for anyone trying to improve their fitness and health. Beginners can work at their own levels and intermediate and advanced students will be pushed to their limit by this full-body workout.

POP Pilates is a total body, equipment-free workout that sculpts a rock-solid core and a lean dancer's body like nothing else can. It's a powerful fusion of music, strength, and choreography that takes classical Pilates to the next level. POP Pilates is a dance on the mat.

This workout is perfect for dancers, in that when we perform routines, typically they last around 2:00-2:30 minutes. A 4 minute maximum-intensity workout is fantastic for achieving that level of conditioning and preparation for those performances!

Professional ballroom dancer and certified personal trainer Leon Turetsky says that all styles of dance make for great cardio workouts since your heart rate gets challenged from executing the different moves.

Pole dancing is a full-body workout. It is resistance training and cardio in one, and flexibility is improved as well. Pole dancers perform acrobatic tricks either suspending their weight or propelling it around a metal pole. The simple act of climbing a pole is an incredible display of strength. It is no surprise, then, that most pole dancers insist they have never looked or felt better.

Pole dancers must have their legs, arms and stomachs exposed to safely grip the pole. There are some grounded spins, poses, and floor work that can be performed while wearing pants, but in order to perform more advanced moves, we must have the proper amount of skin exposure.

Learn how to dance in a fun and beginner friendly environment with Cotillion! Over the course of a quarter you will learn multiple ballroom, Latin, and social dances including but not limited to salsa, swing, cha-cha, rumba, jive, waltz, tango, foxtrot, and many more! Our lessons are beginner-friendly but we also offer students the opportunity to compete at colleges around California and a practice space for advanced dancers.

Dancefunfitness incorporates a wide variety of dance styles and music into their workout videos. From Afrobeat and dancehall to reggaeton, the channel helps beginner to intermediate dancers learn new dance styles while burning calories.
