The series follows gold miners in various locations of Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland as they strive to reach their individually set season target (measured in troy ounces of gold). They use a variety of mining techniques including use of metal detectors of surface or excavated soil for gold nuggets; and sluicing, dry blowing or heap leaching for gold particles.

In 2020, season four of Gold Rush: Parker's Trail featured gold mining in the states of Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia.[124][125] The season saw former Aussie Gold Hunters' cast member Tyler Mahoney in a main role.[124][125] There were also guest appearances by former cast members Jake Larsen demonstrating heap leaching,[126] as well as Ted and Lecky Mahoney teaching the process of pegging land leases.[127]

As a boy Alex was inspired by Poldark and Cornwall's rich mining history - and that soon became his life as he travelled to the other side of the world on a gold hunting trip and returned home with his pockets full of precious nuggets.

Two years ago Alex sold his vape shops to build a bigger portfolio of historic gold mines - under the company name United Mines - inspired by the disused 19th century copper and tin mines he grew up exploring near Redruth.

Not worth a second of viewing anymore.....ask anyone who's been on the show in the past. 90% fake or 're-enactments' of events that took place weeks before. Some notable people who were 'stars' of the show are now quite embarrassed to be associated with it. The Opal hunters series is a bit more realistic and a Sapphire mining show (by the same production company) is about to be aired this year too. Hopefully they will learn by previous mistakes.

Building on the success of Season One, a new series of Aussie Gold Hunters joins our hard-battling crews of gold obsessed dreamers, as they build on last year's soaring highs and crushing lows, to face an even tougher season of high risks and high rewards.

Joining the teams: an all new core of tough, charismatic gold hunters and an expanded line-up of larger than life characters. And in this season it steps away from the coalface to see more of life behind the all-important gold targets: meeting families & friends, sharing dreams and seeing a whole new dimension to real life on the goldfields.

As the machines roar and gold tallies soar, Season Two will also offer a deeper insight into the goldfields, seeing more of this remarkable land, its towns, communities and the characters who truly make it the wild frontier.

Share in the soaring highs and crushing lows of the gold season, as our teams pursue their all-important targets, braving brutal heat, punishing conditions, mechanical breakdowns, and constant pressure. 041b061a72
